These are the same idiots that don’t seem to care when Hamas launches rockets into Jewish civilians.

But hey, you should care when Israel finally has enough and (after calling it in to warn civilians to leave) shows Hamas what they’re up against. Show me the call records showing that Hamas warned civilians before sending in a suicide bomber or launching a rocket into a Cafe.

Don’t cry to me Argentina. You brought this on yourself.

————————–
This is ‘dot’, from the Islamic Forum. I hope this reaches you in the best of health and faith.
The blood-thirst israeli terror army is massacring our Muslim brothers and sister in Gaza, Palestine, for the 8th day now. They are burying women and children alive under the rubles of their homes, using US F16s. They are blowing up homes, Masjids (Mosques), hospitals, schools and even ambulances. The world is watching and no one is doing anything about it.

The death toll is now more than 435 martyrs and 2750 injured, and its increasing every minute. The israeli air raids never stop day or night. The injured are dying because there is no medicine or enough hospitals. Already a nation starving due to a brutal siege which prevents them from all life necessities, are now being slaughtered by the israelis, with US full support and encouragement.

Our fellow Muslims are currently in need of everything we can give.
If you can’t give anything, the least we can do is to pray for them.
Please make duaa/supplication for them in all your prayers.

In such time of horrible massacring of Muslims, we have made some changes in our forum ( http://www.gawaher.com ) to help increase your awareness of what is going on to our fellow brothers and sisters. We have started a new section dedicated for Gaza, with a subforum for Gaza videos, and another subforum for Gaza news, to keep you updated. We have also interrupted our usual ‘Latest posts’ box in the side bar, and now it shows only Gaza topics, Gaza videos and Gaza news.

We hope insha’Allah that all our members set aside their usual topics of interest, and focus on Gaza massacre these days. We expect our Muslim brothers and sisters to sympathize and show solidarity with our fellow Muslims in Gaza. They need our support, duaa and prayers now more than anytime before.

As for our non-Muslim members, this is the time to show that you care. Its only natural to reject all types of massacres and crimes against humanity, no matter what your belief system is. Its time to realize how cruel and inhumane zionism is.
In crisis times, real friends shine, and those human enough among us will stand up and denounce atrocities.
Its time to tell real friends from those who admire the dark side of the human race.

She was aware of what was going on in the background and chose to continue the interview. Probably because she doesn’t think people should be embaressed about their work when there are very few Americans who don’t take advantage of the service the guy is providing on Thanksgiving.

Apparently for some people who eat Turkey’s it’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” when it comes to where it came from.

The local easy listening station is great because it calms the baby when riding in the car. However it becomes less great when it’s Halloween and Christmas music is playing. Thanksgiving is the next major holiday and normally the Christmas music starts the day of or the day after Thanksgiving. I’ve recognized a distinct lack of recognition of Thanksgiving for years now. The Halloween candy goes on sale and the Christmas products come out. But the music didn’t start until after Thanksgiving.

This year everyone is so obsessed with the down economy that they’re doing everything they can to get people to spend spend spend. We have to remind people that Christmas is only two months away so they get out and spend all their money buying a bunch of stuff.

Meanwhile, there’s lonely Thanksgiving in the middle of it all telling people to STOP and be thankful for what they do have. They shouldn’t be worrying about what they don’t have so they can put it on a list. They shouldn’t be worrying about what others don’t have so they can buy it for them.

Thanksgiving is the last strong hold of sanity that makes people think about what they have. And if we give that up, it’s no wonder people are depressed and the econony is down. It used to be you’d gather everyone together and think about all the good things and the insanity would start the next morning as stores offered ridiculous sales.

Now the insanity has already stated. And I don’t think one day is going to be enough to bring everything back into perspective.

The “best” argument against proposition 8 is that it discriminates based on sexual orientation. The definition of marriage started out as the marriage between a male husband and a female wife. Now we want to change it to be the union of two consenting adults.

But that’s discriminatory as well. What if someone wants to marry a sheep or a car? I believe it was in England that a woman was married to a dolphin. In fact, Here’s the article. The wedding is not officially recognized but the fact that it isn’t shows that the state is discriminating. The dolphin has no rights to begin with so denying it the right to marry her is perfectly fine. However, she should have the right to marry whoever or whatever she likes if we’re going to say that discriminating based on sexual orientation is wrong. Back in the days of slaves it would be like saying a free person cannot marry a slave. A slave could be denied the “right” to marry a free person but if a free person choses to marry a slave they have the “right” to do so. A person without rights can benefit from the rights of those who have them.

But it’s not even just animals. Laws in various states prohibit marrying close relatives and siblings. That’s discriminatory. How can the state tell people who they are allowed to love and marry if they both consent?

The fact of the matter is, unless you remove all restrictions on marriage, it is by definition discriminatory. Proposition 8 is not about getting rid of discrimination, it’s about moving the line. If gay marriage were allowed, the definition of marriage would discriminate against fewer people. But it would still be discriminatory.

One of the “lies” that the Mormon church was putting out was that they would lose their tax exempt status if they didn’t marry gays in their church. The people who believe it is a lie have a short memory. Prior to the 1970’s the church forbid blacks from holding the priesthood. In the late 1970’s the church started allowing blacks to hold the priesthood. The church claims it had nothing to do with the possibility of losing its tax-excempt status.

However there is another example

In 1970, the Internal Revenue Service ruled that Bob Jones no longer qualified for tax-exempt status because of [its] segregationist policy, so the school changed it. Blacks could be accepted if they were married to other blacks, or if they promised not to date or marry outside their race… By the time of the Supreme Court case, a decade later, the number of blacks attending the school was less than a dozen, making the ratio of whites to blacks about 550 to one.

From the vantage point of the Solicitor General’s office, the legal issue in the Bob Jones case was routine. It was a tax question.

There is a historical precident of the government punishing a religious organizating for discrimination even when that discrimination is related to religious beliefs.

So yes it is perfectly reasonable for churches to fear the beliefs of others being forced on them.

Another example is polygamy. It’s illegal and groups are threatened by the federal government for practicing it. The loophole is that it’s not illegal to have mistresses. In Colorado City the men have one wife according to the state. The rest of the “wives” are only recognized as such by the church. The state has no record of it.

That again is discrimination and an example of federal/state law intefering with the beliefs of others.

Those who call the Mormon’s liars for saying that the church will be forced to marry gays are ignorant of history. “will be forced” may be a little strong but they definitly “could be forced.”

So it’s no surprise that religious people are voting their principles because the may be forced to act contrary to their principles if they don’t.

There’s a debate about Wall Street and Main Street. Let’s review: when Wall Street was prospering, Main Street was prospering, when Wall Street suffered, Main Street suffered. People want to say it’s okay to punish the people on Wall Street but they don’t want to hurt Main Street in the process. Well, you can’t. Wall Street is the backbone of Main Street. Main Street should be doing it’s best to repair Wall Street by investing and paying their obligations as they signed a contract to.

Main Street was happy to take gobs of money from Wall Street but when the bill came, Main Street decided they didn’t have to pay. Now Wall Street is suffering and Main Street is playing the victim. Wall Street signed a contract with Main Street. Wall Street held up it’s end of the bargain. Main Street didn’t. And now Main Street wants to blame Wall Street.

Obama promises to provide health care, mortgages, and retirement to people. Currently Wall Street provides those things. Main Street seems to believe that a) they don’t have to pay their debts to Wall Street and b) the government will allow it and replace the roles of Wall Street.

Are people really that stupid?

Do they really believe that the government can provide the kind of retirement that Wall Street can? Compare a 401(k) to social security. There is no comparison. A 401(k) can allow you to retire rich even through down markets. Social Security is going bankrupt and even when it’s full of money only provides barely enough to live on.

The government cannot afford to insure all Americans will quality health insurance. It takes Wall Street to provide those types of services.

The government cannot afford to give out loans of hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions of Americans so they can afford the house of their dreams. The government can afford to give you the minimum. Want a mansion? Sorry, government doesn’t think you need it and can’t afford to give you the money even though you could have easily afforded the loan from Wall Street.

Main Street feeds off the crumbs of the fat cats on Wall Street. If you don’t feed the fat cats, there will be no crumbs.

It comes back to the whole “I don’t make 200-250K now so I don’t care if taxes go up” idiocy. Wall Street is there to make you successful. The left would rather the government provide them the bare minimum than educate themselves to understand Wall Street and live the American Dream.

It’s very unlikely with Obama’s proposed tax policies that the stock market is going to rally any time soon. I’m going to take this opportunity to invest as much as I can in the markets so in 4 years when someone who’s not a socialist gets in to office and undoes all the market crushing policies of Obama, I can see the return on my investing.

The people who are already retired or who will be retiring soon are screwed. All because they were more concerned about lies Obama told about McCain and social security than the truth about Obama’s tax policies that will further crush their 401(k) costing them the dream of a rich retirement.

People are so concerned about a little bit of money that they don’t see the big picture and now they’re out more money than Social Security could ever provide.

Obama correctly identified that his supporters are stupid and changed the issue from being about his answer to being about Joe. Because it turns out that Joe isn’t really in much of a position to own a business and make 250K then that invalidates his question. You’d have to be a fool to believe that.

Whether the specific sitatution presented was real or hypothetical it can and does happen all across the US. Obama’s “spread the wealth” ideology is going to hurt a lot of people. Maybe not Joe the Plumber, but people like him who really are looking to start making more than 200-250K a year in the next few years.

The left is so full of stupid that they allowed Obama and Biden to ridicule someone for aspiring to succeed rather than looking to themselves and realizing, hey, I might really be in that position someday and that “spread the wealth” nonsense is going to hurt me.

But the left is short sighted. They see that they are not making 250K now so it doesn’t affect them now. They either have no aspirations to make 200-250K or are just not thinking about where they will be in the next few years. So therefore, Obama’s answer doesn’t matter, and Joe’s question is invalid, because it doesn’t affect them or Joe now.

The stock market is going back into a downward spiral thanks to Obama’s promises to raise capital gains tax and the left’s desire to stop pushing the 401(k).

When the market divebombs right after Obama is elected it’s just a coincidence. So just ignore Obama’s promises which will cause people to stop investing thereby driving the market down farther. The falling stock prices you see are all Bush’s fault.

One of the previously unanswered questions regarding the Obama victory was the pending reaction on Wall Street. The markets opened down nearly 200 points. It doesn’t seem that investors are swayed by a historic election. Investing is not based on the ideas of hope and change. It’s based on math, research and speculation based on historical trends and current market forces.

Electing the first black president doesn’t signal a shift in the economic winds. The policies of that president are what will determine the ethusiasm in the markets.

And currently they are not enthused.

Increased taxes on investments. Increased taxes on high wage earners. The idea of killing the 401(k) all together. These aren’t things that make people want to invest. Hopefully Obama will change his mind and encourage investing by keeping taxes on capital gains low and encourage investing among the masses by focusing on 401(k) accounts and their value to the average person.
